Hi everyone! My name is Brittany Aline Vardakis, I am a long-time early childhood educator and artist! For as long as I can remember, I have always been passionate about helping others and being creative. During my 10+ years teaching preschool, I have done a lot of that, and truly have loved it. However, a year ago I came up with my dream of marrying my two passions together into one project. A place where not only children can go to express themselves and be creative, but adults and teenagers too! Thus, Sunflower Creative Studio was born. A physical location to act as a shared space, and a place of comfort for creatives young and old to come together. I also want to hold fundraisers in order to support the community, as well as sensory activities for children with diverse needs in an inclusive, calming environment! In addition to all this, I plan to offer gently used art supplies at a reduced price in the studio. This way, if you or your child is looking to pick up a new creative hobby but don't want to jump into paying an arm and a leg to go all in unsure if you'll like it, you can take a try with some second-hand supplies to try it out! As an artist myself, it is so important to me to support other small artists, so as well as selling my own art, I plan on having a collection of other small and local artists to be sold in my studio store too. Now all of this can become a reality, and that is where you come in! Sunflower Creative Studio is still a baby business, but I know it has the potential to continue growing into something truly incredible that can really make a difference in our community. I aim to have a studio space in the North Shore area, so I can make my dreams continue to come true.
